As some of you may have already seen through our Tweet @countryradious this past Wednesday, we have decided to go on hiatus for an indefinite period of time. This decision comes as our station director, Sam Wilson, needs time to focus on other projects and commitments.
Though we may not be producing new programming at the moment, we can assure you that we’ll be back before you know it. Once Sam has decided to resume show production, we will once again begin syndicating new editions of Cross Country USA to our full roster of affilites, including Eternal WebRadio, Total Country FM, Vienna International Radio, StateSide FM (once they resume broadcasting in January), our flagship station TNN Radio, and hopefully others. At this time, we will also introduce two new shows - “The Young Country Stampede” and “Weekly Top Country Hits,” both of which will be hosted by veteran broadcaster Bob Krebs, former owner of Young Country Stampede Radio. For those of you that were curious as to what happened to “The 90’s Country Power Hour” and “The Music City Report,” we quietly stopped promoting the shows and decided not to move forward with their premieres. It remains a possibility that these programs will come to fruition at a later date if Sam or one of his volunteers finds a time in their schedule to produce them.
In the interim, archived editions of Cross Country USA will still air at their designated weekly times on the aforementioned four affiliate stations. As of now, we do not have a general estimate of when we will resume production - it could be anywhere between a few weeks and a few months...most likely sometime closer to 2020. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, and we sincerely appreciate all of the support we’ve gotten from our listeners and member stations throughout these first four months.
Once again, thanks for your patronage, and we hope to get back on air soon.
