This fall, Country Radio USA is proud to debut three new syndicated programs and air a special two-hour edition of Cross Country USA in conjunction with the radio network's first anniversary.
What began as SAM-FM Country in September of 2018 has now grown to be a full-service country radio network, servicing seven stations (and growing!) with top-notch country music content. Beginning September 2019, this show lineup will expand to include the 90's Country Power Hour, Music City Report, and YCS Country Countdown, in addition to a revamped Cross Country USA.
Launching September 7, the 90's Country Power Hour will provide listeners with a full hour of 1990's country music each week. Similar to Cross Country USA, the show's variety will be bolstered by the fact that the music played will display no boundaries in its popularity, meaning that a variety of hit singles, minor hits, rarities, and album cuts will all be utilized. Enlivening the show will be several weekly features, including the "Where Are They Now?" artist spotlight, the "All-Request Wrap-Up", and "Can't Believe It's Not 90's," which will showcase contemporary neotraditional country acts, including Midland, Riley Green, and Luke Combs. Several stations, including TNN Radio, Sugar Country Radio, and newcomer The Ranch - Arizona's Classic Country. Current Cross Country USA host Sam Wilson will serve as the voice of the program.
Also launching in early September, the Music City Report will bring fans the latest in country music news, straight from Nashville, at the top of each hour. Also hosted by Sam Wilson, the program's segments will include showcases on new music, interviews with new artists, and more. TNN Radio, Sugar Country Radio, and newcomer Hope Nation Radio have already committed to airing.
The network's fourth syndicated program, the YCS (Young Country Stampede) Country Countdown, is tentatively scheduled to launch later in September. Hosted and produced by Bob Krebs and Young Country Stampede Radio, this hour-long show will bring listeners the top 10 songs on country radio each week, all intertwined with additional special features.
In addition, the ever-popular Cross Country USA will be receiving a makeover that includes new imaging and liners. The program overhaul will begin with a special 2-hour anniversary edition that will be heard on Sugar Country Radio, TNN Radio, Eternal WebRadio, Vienna International Radio, and newcomer Country Radio Gilsdorf between Friday, September 6 and Sunday, September 8.
In conclusion, Country Radio USA is proud to offer these additions and alterations to our current programming lineup, as they will serve to be a vital asset in helping to grow the network and expand its reach.
